This week, Instagram has been rolling out new features you probably didn't know were happening. One will help you express yourself, and the other will bring awareness to your brand, which is a healthy balance.
This first one is going to make you feel like Myspace. I don't know who asked for this one, but hey, let's have some fun with it.
Instagram is rolling out the ability to add a song 🎶 to your profile.
“We’re excited to announced that you can now add a song to your profile, giving you more ways to express yourself through music. Your profile song selection will live on your profile until you swap out the song.”
To see if you have it:
- Select "Edit profile" from your Profile tab, then tap "Add music to your profile."
- Search for your favorite song or browse our "For You" section.
- Select the song you'd like to use and choose the clip duration for your Profile.
This will give your profile a sense of personality. When someone visits your profile, this is their first impression of you. When you look at yours personally, does it scream who you are and what you're about?
People sleep on the importance of setting up your profile. They think it is all about the content.
- What about your profile picture? Is it clear and expressive
- Does your name section also have a title next to it?
- Did you set up your bio to show what value you will add instead of just titles like CEO, Author, etc.?
- Are you taking advantage of story highlights? And now, what music will be on it?

The second feature:
They are currently testing is improving the look of your IG profile's QR code. First, did you know IG creates a QR code for you to share with others?
- Go to your profile.
- Hit the 'Share profile' button (under your professional dashboard).
However, now they are improving it to look like this:
Now, what is this feature good for?
- When you go to events or just networking, people can scan your QR code to follow you instead of searching for you.
- Add it to your YouTube videos for those watching on TV.
- Add it to your slide presentations.

🌆 AI Alley
I saw this on Roberto's page and had to share how he created an AI video of himself. Here is the full breakdown:
- Go to letz.ai and create a free account. Choose "Create AI Model".
- Give your model a name. You'll need this for prompting later.
- Upload 5-10 high-quality, diverse images of yourself to train the AI model.
- Once the model is trained, you can prompt it to generate images of yourself in any scenario you can imagine. Mention the model name in your prompt.
- After getting the desired AI-generated image, go to runwayml.com and use their "Image to Video" tool with the new Gen3 Alpha model.
- Upload your image and describe the type of video shot you want. The tool will generate a video from your image.
- (Optional) Use a tool like Topaz Video AI to upscale and enhance the video quality, adding film grain if desired.

😴 Underrated Lesson
Going live on multiple platforms isn’t hard; it’s just about having the right tools. Here is my setup:
📍 Ecamm Live to stream on multiple platforms (YT, IG, FB, etc.) at the same time.
📍 I use a Sony A7C as my main camera and DJI Osmo Pocket 3 as my second camera angle.
📍 I use Opus Clips to clip up my lives using AI, so that’s one less thing I have to worry about.
It’s one of the main reasons, video-wise, I have endless content…
